How much does it cost?

To develop an effective programme for you, we need to assess your strengths, weaknesses and muscular tightness.

Musculoskeletal Assessment

Session 1 commences with a detailed Musuloskeletal Assessment.
Your history of injury and pain together with activity level is taken. You are then thoroughly assessed to determine joint and muscle tightness, habitual postures and muscular weakness. At this assessment we take time to assess and train you to recruit weak muscles that are contributing to your dysfunction and discuss the issues and the goals we would like you to achieve with your programme.
An individualised programme is then developed based on our findings.

Cost $140.00

Session 2-4 or as required

Fully supervised one on one exercise sessions.
$110.00

In these sessions one of our physiotherapists will take you through the programme that has been individually designed for you and start to familiarize you with the equipment and exercise. We work with you individually for a few sessions until you have some idea of the exercises.

Ongoing sessions- supervised group sessions.

After the one on one sessions, you progress to a supervised group situation where one of our staff supervises the exercises assisting when ever you cannot remember the exercise and correcting technique as necessary. You are working on the specific programme designed for you. The maximum number in the supervised group is 6.

You are reassessed on a regular basis and the programmes are upgraded as you are improving in your core and peripheral strength and mobility.

$39.00 per session.

For clients who require strengthening and return to work after the acute phase, we can assess you and forward a provider management plan to Workcover proposing a plan for supervised rehabilitation sessions. Work hardening and manual handling training and correction will be included in these sessions for workers returning to manual work.

High level “core control’ is pushed in the rehab of the injured manual worker

Clients who are eligible for this coverage can benefit greatly from education about physical exercise and from the strengthening effects of Pilates training.

For the older client maintaining mobility and independence is paramount. Veterans’ affairs clients with balance and pain issues are generally covered for Physiotherapy Supervised Pilates sessions, if referred by a medical practitioner.
